Hegins Township - Construction of Administration Building
As engineer for this project, Peters Consultants, Inc. handled the entire project from initial design through final inspection.
This project was split into two contracts, interior and exterior improvements, both of which were
completed in September of 2024. The exterior part of the project
comprises the constructing of a 40’ wide x 80’ long pole building with
reinforced concrete floor slab.
In the interior we worked with the installation of insulation, drywall, drop
ceiling, lighting, HVAC Unit with ductwork, hot water heater, offices, ADA
restroom, meeting room, emergency lighting, smoke detectors, exterior
lights, ADA parking space with signage and others.
As engineer, Peters Consultants, Inc. insured the project complied with all grant funding requirements and formal bidding
requirements.

Ralpho Township Gym Renovation
PCI was selected by SEDA-COG and the Township to complete all engineering required for the ADA
restroom renovations to the Ralpho Township gym. Renovations were completed using CDBG funds and
included removal of existing restroom facilities and installation of all new ADA toilets, sinks, grab bars,
mirrors, touchless soap dispensers, touchless paper towel dispensers, schedule 40 PVC sanitary piping,
water lines to match existing, mixing valves, insulation on drain piping, dual head emergency lights, mini
split systems, smoke detectors, exhaust fans, GFI receptacles, light switches, partition walls, drop ceiling,
and windows with frosted glass, epoxy flooring, and restroom signs in one (1) men’s restroom and one (1)
women’s restroom. Additional work included removal of an exterior door and installation of a new
exterior door with panic hardware and a keyless entry system.

Peters Consultants, Inc. has provided this developer with a variety of engineering, surveying, and land development services during the past 6 years. These include aerial, topographic, ALTA, boundary, GPS surveying services. Other services include environmental subdivision design, NPDES permits, sanitary/stormwater detention basins and the planned residential development (PRD) of 83 units at Laurel Woods.

Bloomsburg Flood Wall
Peters Consultants, Inc. continues to work as a sub-contractor to Allan A. Myers, providing Construction Stakeout Services and AutoCAD Services for the Bloomsburg Flood Control Project. Once the estimated $30 million project is complete, the four to fourteen foot high wall will cover over a mile in length.

Heimbach Park
The park is located at the intersection of S.R. 0011 Northbound (Front Street) and S.R. 0011 Southbound (Second Street). The project consisted of the destruction of all concrete sidewalks, concrete curbs, ADA accessible ramps, asphalt pedestrian crosswalks, signs, railroad ties and concrete traffic islands. After all demolition was completed, installation of concrete sidewalks, concrete curbing, geotextile and crushed red brick mulch, ADA accessible ramps, brick pavers, a split face block retaining walls for flower beds, park benches, a trash receptacle, lights with a lighting control and an electrical meter. Trees, shrubs and flowers were planted.
The park was dedicated to Gary Heimbach and named Heimbach Park on November 17, 2013. Mr. Heimbach is a well-known community activist, who has spent countless hours collecting sizable donations to fund many worthwhile local organizations. Donating his time and energy to sell raffles tickets for various groups and donating time to the Christmas Boulevard, Mr. Heimbach is the “go to guy” to help with charitable fund raising.

Peters Consultants, Inc. was awarded a series of design projects for The Borough of Berwick utilizing liquid fuel grants and CDBG grants, to upgrade and improve many of the Borough’s streets. A total of 44 streets were selected for improvements over the last 10 years.
The work consisted of the milling of existing pavement, installing a sub-base and wearing course, installing ADA accessible ramps at each intersection, installing concrete curbing, adjusting manholes and inlets, base reconstruction, lawn restoration, roadway shoulder installation, correcting of grading and drainage problems on adjacent streets, and the installation of stormwater inlets and piping.

Roadway Design
PCI has designed over 50 street reconstruction projects in the Borough of Berwick since 1976, including road reconstruction on 17th Street, Robbins Avenue, 5th Street through 3rd Street, Market Street through Oak Street, and various other streets.
Stream Stabilization and Stormwater Management
PCI provided professional engineering, survey, design, and contract document preparation and administration and construction supervision for multiple stream related projects in the Borough of Berwick.
Demolition
PCI provided professional engineering, survey, design, contract document administration, asbestos inspection and abatement, and construction supervision for Demolition of four (4) properties in the City of Shamokin.
Elevation
PCI provided professional engineering, survey, design, contract document preparation and administration, and construction supervision for the elevation of two homes in Selinsgrove Borough.
Land Development
PCI provided professional engineering services such as survey, design, PennDOT HOP application, provided aviation clearance services for approval by required agencies, and construction supervision for the development of a Panera Bread location in Hazle Township.
Sports Fields
PCI designed two (2) sports fields for the Northwest Area School District. This project required that PCI locate areas that require special environmental protection and/or mitigation, areas that will require special archeological protection, and other use limiting aspects of the site and neighborhood compatibility (including impact on and from adjacent land uses due to activities, traffic, noise and/or aesthetic characteristics). These findings were then used to develop the plans for the sports fields, paving projects, and field house.
Field Survey Services
PCI surveyed the existing conditions, provided stakeout on all construction work, including levees and a retaining wall. Stakeout of reference points and markers assisted in guiding the construction and installation of all infrastructure. PCI completed an As-Built survey to verify the construction was completed in accordance with contract documents prepared.
