Recalls

 

Peters Consultants, Inc. would like to update you on three recalls:

 

Otis and CemcoLift Private Residence Elevators purchased before 2012. Children can become entrapped in the space between the exterior landing (hoistway) door and the interior elevator car door or gate, and suffer serious injuries or death when the elevator is called to another floor. Consumer should disable or block children’s access to any Otis or CemcoLift private residence elevator and contact Otis at 800-233-6847 or online at www.otis.com.

LG Chem Model RESU 10H lithium-ion storage battery installed as part of a residential energy solar panel system. The batteries can overheat posing a risk of fire and emission of harmful smoke. They are wall mounted and weigh roughly 220 pounds. The LG Chem logo is on the top left side of the front panel and the product serial number begins with R15563P3SSEG. Consumers should immediately contact LG Energy Solution at 866.263.0301.

Klein Tools Non-Contact Voltage Tester Model NCVT-1 The on/off button can remain depressed during the power on or power off cycle, causing the tester to work improperly. Consumers testing electrical sources could fail to be warned of the presence of live voltage if the tester is not properly operating, posing a shock hazard to the users.
